For the fourth generation of the BMW X3, several notable improvements stand out, starting with an increase in size. The 2025 BMW X3 is available in two trims: the X3 30 xDrive and the more performance-oriented X3 M50 xDrive. The X3 30 xDrive is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 255 horsepower. Meanwhile, the X3 M50 xDrive features a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine delivering an impressive 393 horsepower.
The 2025 X3 lineup outperforms its predecessors thanks to the integration of a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Both models come equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. The exterior design of the BMW X3 has undergone a significant transformation, featuring a larger front grille and a striking bi-directional design. Standard 18-inch alloy wheels are included, with optional upgrades available up to 21 inches.
Inside, the lineup introduces new heated sport seats with leatherette upholstery. The dashboard is finished with recycled polyester trim and features ambient lighting along with a uniquely shaped square steering wheel. Cargo space has also been increased, offering an additional 141.58 litres compared to previous models.
For the 2025 model year, the BMW X3 introduces the new iDrive 9 infotainment system, delivering a more intuitive and responsive user experience through its central touchscreen display. Features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, a Harman Kardon sound system, and remote vehicle access via the My BMW mobile app.
Safety is a top priority in the 2025 BMW X3, which comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies. Standard features include forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, and blind spot detection. Available options include the Driving Assistance Professional Package, offering advanced features such as semi-autonomous driving at speeds of up to 40 km/h.
